little things by little hands

Today's photo friday is dedicated to my son Lukas and his sense for beauty.
These are two family portraits he drew,
and a little flower he picked for me to put in my hair.

(1. little Tristan, me and not to forget the belly buttons,  2. all four of us in one little house)

beautiful. I haven't been looking at your pictures (or much of anything) for a few days, and I've missed them. and you.

The palette of these photos is particularly welcoming. I want to look at them over and over, as if they were candy behind glass in a shop. You captured the week's subject so well!

I agree with what Amber said about the palette. These are all really soothing to look at, especially the third one. We miss Lukas and his sense of beauty.

My grandmother, who was a painter, kept a scrapbook of my childhood artwork. She added written annotations with dates: "May 11 - eyebrows! An exciting development." She would have noticed Lukas' belly buttons.

Oh my, Manuela, the last photo just blows me away. So Wabi Sabi!

So sweet, Manuela! And they are lovely not only as drawings in and of themselves but also as a series of photographs celebrating the refreshing unselfconsciousness of children diving into the creative process. These made me smile !: )
