I always intended to comment something on this post, but it always seemed to me far too obvious to be worth saying. Your big boy (Lukas, right?) totally resembles you. You posted your portraits and then those of the kids, so it struck me how you have not only same features, but same look. Have you deliberately searched for parallels? The picture in the bathtub (yours and of Lukas), the one eye in focus (yours with the leaf, Lukas), and his first portrait which just summarizes all the resemblances. Striking. I'll just say it here, I really enjoyed the series with the shadow-presences in the next blog post!
