A Morning in the Rain

We went out one morning last week to spend some much needed time together. There are so many areas we have yet to explore. As we got further into the woods, closer to the river, the clouds got darker and we could here thunder from far away. Just before the rain started, I was lying on the branch down at the river, touching the freezing water with my finger tips. Then it started pouring. We saw people running over the bridge to get to a dry place. We, however, got completely soaked and muddy, standing and running in the rain, barefoot --- like children.
