Early Morning Thought Process

Morning Rain by Tu Fu
A slight rain comes, bathed in dawn light.
I hear it among treetop leaves before mist
Arrives. Soon it sprinkles the soil and,
Windblown, follows clouds away. Deepened

Colors grace thatch homes for a moment.
Flocks and herds of things wild glisten
Faintly. Then the scent of musk opens across
Half a mountain -- and lingers on past noon.

Manuela, I love it, of course, and no less because it is short and sweet. The diptych especially is great. Rain in every house sounds different, so it makes sense that, since you are in a new place, it has an unrecognizable sound.

I think the link you posted on my site has a typo. It took me to a blog in Cyrillic! Looks like it might be interesting, but I can't read it. : )
